TOP TEN GARDEN JOBS FOR THIS MONTH
Deadhead annuals and perennials which are starting to wither to encourage constant displays of blooms
Camellias and rhododendrons well watered as their flower buds begin to form
Harvest fruit and vegetables regularly
Water fruit and veg plants daily. Cut back herbs to encourage a fresh flush of tasty leaves to enjoy
Protect blackberries and Autumn raspberries from birds with netting/fleece
Open greenhouse doors and windows to prevent plants drying out
Clear weeds from cracks in paving and driveways to prevent them from seeding and spreading. We recommend Roundup or Resolva
Top up bird baths and water features which dry out in the warmer weather
Trim hedges and neaten up lawn edges before autumn arrives
Raise cutting height of mower blades, especially if the dry conditions prevail.
