OUR PEOPLE
The business was previously owned and managed by brothers Peter and Tom Beharrell, both experienced nurserymen, with an enviable knowledge of all things horticultural. They have built the business from a small shed to the amazing garden centre site, cafe and farm shop that stands today. In October 2024, Peter and Tom sold Pacific to Planters Garden Centre Group. Planters is a family run business, with four other garden centres; Tamworth, Bretby and Brookfields and Garden King at Swadlincote.
We have dedicated and experienced staff throughout the business, all very keen to please our customers and help in any way they can, often going the extra mile to exceed expectations. Many of our customers enjoy the attention they get from our team and aren't shy in letting us know how knowledgeable and caring they think we are.
OUR GROWING BUSINESS
Pacific Nurseries also has a wholesale plant nursery at Little Hay, near Lichfield, that supplies 70-80 local, independent garden centres. It has been in existence since 1977.
Pacific at Little Hay specialises in growing hardy nursery stock including shrubs, perennials, rhododendrons, heathers and conifers among a long list of others.
Buying from us means that many of our plants are grown locally so they are well suited to the local climate and conditions. This gives them a far greater chance of being a huge success in your gardens.
Most of the plants are raised from cuttings or seed and this dictates the exceptional quality of its products for which Pacific has developed an enviable reputation.
